
The 2026 Gravel and Flannel Festival will be held in Wondai, Qld from 3 to 5 July. The Festival will be based in the historic Wondai Hotel 1903. It will bring together gravel riders, mountain bikers, their friends and families for 3 days of riding and good times!

Day 1 of Gravel and Flannel is about getting to Wondai, checking into your accommodation, heading to the Wondai Hotel 1903 and registering with our friendly Crew members. Later in the afternoon we'll do a shakeout ride to Murgon on the KKRT (26km on Rail Trail) or for those looking to explore the area on foot there will be an organised Trail Run.

Day 2 starts early so head to the Hotel with your flannos and bikes for breakfast and coffee. The Gravel riders will head off to do the Dirty Dingo while the MTBers will head to Gordonbrook Dam for "A Day at the Dam".
We'll all return to the Hotel for lunch and an afternoon of live music, hanging out, workshops and a Paint and Sip at the Wondai Art Gallery. The Afterparty will kick off at 5pm and t

Day 3 is another early start at the Hotel with Breakfast and coffee from 6.30am. The Gravel riders will then head of on the Red Dirt Rally while the MTBers will head to the nearby McEuen Forrest for "Send It Sunday".
We'll gather at the Hotel for lunch and a Sunday Session before saying our farewells.

These packages are very limited and are being offered as a 2 person package with either a Queen/Double bed (4 packages available) or Twin beds (2 packages available). All rooms have their own bathroom with some having an ensuite*.

Yes. In 2026 we have introduced both a 1 day and a 2 day pass. These passes allow you to choose 1 activity eg. a gravel ride or MTB ride each day. As well as this this the pass allows you access to the Festival venue from 6.30am (Breakfast and coffee included) through until the venue closes that evening.
Definitely. You can chose 1 activity each day that you have registered for. For example on the Friday you could do the Trail Run, on the Saturday you could do the Gravel Ride and on Sunday the MTB ride. Note that the Trail Run is only available of the Friday.
Yes. Everyone is welcome to come along to the festival
The Friday will be a maximum of 40km (Wondai to Murgon return on the KKRT)
The Saturday Dirty Dingo will over 2 distances 73km or 51km
The Sunday Red Dirt Rally will offer 2 distances 70km or 43km
The riding is most suitable for Gravel and MTB bikes. Legal E bikes are most welcome. Road bikes are allowed but can only be ridden on the Rail Trail (KKRT)

Yes. Children are most welcome to attend and children 8 and over are able to join in the rides. Children U14 will only be allowed to ride on the KKRT (Rail Trail) and must be accompanied by an adult.
Yes. To participate in any of the riding activities you need to have an AusCycling membership. If you don't have an AusCycling Membership you can purchase a Day Licence when booking your tickets (just chose the option Non AusCycling Member)
No. The Friday Trail Run is a social run through McEuen Forrest. Local runners will accompany runners and take them on the run

The Pechey Gin Bar will once again be serving up great cocktails over the weekend

Breakfast each morning is included in your Festival ticket

No cycling festival is complete with out great coffee and we'll be serving it all weekend

The fire pit will be lit on Friday and put out on Sunday. June is cool in Esk and there's no better place to hang than by the fire
